The 2017 Highlights
I'm a sucker for reflection and as 2017 gently draws to a close I find myself with every excuse to pause, dwell and recollect. I noticed a while ago that in the Bible the Israelites were repeatedly commanded by God to remember. There was something vital about these people being ones good at remembering. I wonder if there's something in that? I think there's sadness in forgetting, or in our more familiar version of hurrying through life without noticing landmarks or celebrating the little stuff very well. It's one of the reasons I'm most grateful for my camera... through it I have this rough and random collection of rectangular memories all creating a diary of where I've been. Without much further ado, here's a visual list of the parts of 2017 which glitter to my grateful attention (they're clickable).
